Four Ongoing Events Available Throughout the Detroit Area

Most of us know Detroit for the many music legends it has produced. But Detroit is known for much more than just music. Here are four events that go on all throughout the year in Detroit.

William Henry Exotic Pocket Knives and Lashbrook Sportsmen Rings

This event is put on by J. Thomas Jewelers and takes place every Saturday at the J. Thomas Jewelers store. The store is located at 2254 Crooks Road in Rochester Hills. This event will be going on until January 2nd 2016.

The William Henry pocket knives are very unique to this area. They are the type of knives that are handed down from generation to generation. If you are interested in learning more about these exotic knives be sure to visit this event. It is free to attend.

The Island Of Lemurs 3D

Island Of Lemurs 3D is narrated by the legendary Morgan Freeman. This incredible story goes deep into nature’s greatest explorers. It highlights Dr. Patricia Wrights tireless efforts to help highly endangered species survive in the world today. This event takes place at the Henry Ford IMAX Theater and costs $10 to attend.

Get Inspired 2015

This event is all about giving back to those who have given so freely to their communities. If you want to participate you will need to read the guidelines and submit your story. The contest ends May 31st, 2015 and is free to join.

The Collection Corner At Detroit Historical Museum’s - New Items

This showcase highlights the many unbelievable stories of the region. It does this by displaying the very rare and priceless artifacts. Many of which have never been displayed before. Some of the new items currently on display include the Iron Gate found at the Mariner’s Church in the 19th century. This event takes place at the Detroit Historical Museum and is free to attend.
