As an example of the differences from state to state, Florida requires individuals to participate in 63 hours of pre-licensing courses in the classroom. Culture is an essential component for real estate agents to consider. A company’s culture defines its mission, values, the way it intends to work with you. For example, some brokerages may operate more from a distance, and not be too closely involved with the agents. Others are more “hands-on”—you decide what type of culture is important to you.
